Why?

Engineers

with the UNSW Technology Translation Squad

Dedicated electrical engineers embedded in your project to solve technical challenges in the areas of electrical, electronic and control systems.

Researchers

with an R&D Voucher

World class researchers and specialised equipment to fast-track R&D and de-risk early-stage innovation.
Up to AUD 30k in matched funding available per project.

Investors

with the Early-Stage Seed Fund

Strategic early-stage investment to help you move from validation to scale.
Please note that support from all three programs is not guaranteed. SMEs will be matched to one, two, or in some cases all three programs based on assessment of their needs and readiness.

This unique and bespoke support has been designed to fast-track the development and commercialisation of new technologies. Our goal is to de-risk, scale and commercialise climate technologies through funding, tailored commercialisation support services, and streamlined processes that help viable products move swiftly to global manufacturing.

By working in partnership with UNSW and the University of Newcastle, SMEs also benefit from the credibility, networks and world-class expertise of leading research institutions—strengthening validation and increasing investor confidence.

Companies must align closely with TRaCE’s strategic focus on advancing recycling and clean energy technologies. You should clearly identify a target end user customer within these sectors:

– Clean Energy

– Green Fuels

– Solar Tech

– Circular Economy

Projects must have a net benefit to Australia regarding:

– Emissions reduction

– Contribution to GDP

– Job creation

– Export of Australian technologies into global markets.
